1) Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of The Finance Key websites, including thefinancekey.com and any subdomains (collectively, the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our linked policies: Privacy Policy, Disclaimer & Disclosures, Editorial Policy & Guidelines, and Corrections & Updates.
If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

5) User Contributions
If the Site allows comments, reviews, or uploads (“User Content”), you retain ownership of your content but grant The Finance Key a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, translate, distribute, and display such content in connection with operating, improving, and promoting the Site. You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that you have all rights needed to grant this license.

7) Third-Party Links, Affiliates & Sponsorships
The Site may link to third-party websites or products. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content or policies. 9) No Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Finance Key and its owners, officers, employees, and contributors disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. 10) Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Finance Key and its owners, officers, employees, and contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Site will not exceed the greater of USD $50 or the amount you paid (if any) to us for access to the Site during the 12 months preceding the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
11) Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Finance Key and its owners, officers, employees, and contributors from and against all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Site, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
12) Intellectual Property Concerns (Copyright/Trademark)
If you believe content on the Site infringes your intellectual property, please notify us via our contact page with sufficient detail to identify the work and the allegedly infringing material. We will review and respond in accordance with applicable law.
13) Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, including if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g., ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnities) will survive.
14) International Use
The Site primarily serves readers in the United States and Canada. If you access the Site from another country, you are responsible for compliance with local laws.
15) Governing Law & Venue
United States residents: These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or relating to them or the Site are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in the State of Washington.
Canadian residents: These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or relating to them or the Site are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the provincial or federal courts located in Alberta.
All other users: These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in the State of Washington.
Small claims & injunctive relief: Either party may bring an individual action in a court of competent jurisdiction for small claims matters. Either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court with jurisdiction to protect intellectual property or confidential information.
16) Electronic Communications
When you use the Site or contact us, you may be communicating with us electronically. You consent to receive communications from us electronically and agree that all notices, disclosures, and other communications that we provide electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.
17) Miscellaneous
- Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the policies linked above, constitute the entire agreement between you and The Finance Key regarding the Site and supersede prior agreements on this subject.
